Overweight and obesity is a wide reaching issue causing debilitating and costly health problems world wide. 61% of Australian adults aged over 18 are OVERWEIGHT OR OBESE! That's about 9.1 million people! (Australian Bureau of Statistics, 2009)
That's more than 1 in 2 people with an increased risk of getting chronic diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. This has increased significantly from 38% of adults were overweight or obese only 15 years ago.
Facts:
o Men are more likely to be overweight or obese than women.
o The proportion of the population who are obese is increasing at a faster rate than the proportion of the population who are overweight generally.
o Overweight or obese men and women are increasingly likely to see themselves as having an acceptable weight. People do not think they have a weight problem.

Food fuels your body. Everyone's body is different some are satisfied with a little food some need a lot. After you make your mind up which foods to consume your are deciding to fuel your body and fill it with get-up-and-go or you are choosing to interfere with your healthiness by consuming foods loaded with salt, sugar, preservatives, saturated fats and chemicals.
Those who love to eat red meat and other dishes that are fatty or oil are at risk of getting sick. This isn't diarrhea but a touch worse that can be life threatening because of the amount of bad cholesterol which is being taken into the body.
The elevated levels of cholesterol in the body are happening more frequently at the moment than ever beforehand. This is because of the type of food to be had at this moment in the grocery and in restaurants. The person can still recover from this by consuming foods which are not high in saturated fats.
